The Internal Medicine Department at Al-Rasheed Hospital provides integrated medical care for adult patients suffering from a wide range of internal illnesses. The department comprises an elite group of specialized internal medicine physicians who are committed to delivering accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans, with a focus on overall health and prevention.
Our Intensive Care Unit consists of 9 beds, equipped with the latest advanced medical devices and equipment, including ventilators, multi-parameter vital signs monitors, and electrocardiogram (ECG) machines. The unit is supervised by a specialized medical and nursing team with extensive experience in intensive care, working collaboratively and dedicatedly to provide the best possible care.
In addition to doctors and nurses, you may encounter other members of our healthcare team working to ensure your recovery:
Respiratory Therapist: Provides services to assist breathing, using oxygen, breathing treatments, and ventilators (breathing machines).
Dietitian: Plans and monitors nutritional needs. Some doctors may prescribe a special diet for patients, which can include restrictions such as low fat, low sodium, and low sugar. Food consistency may also be modified due to swallowing precautions.
- Occupational Therapist: Teaches exercises and skills for day-to-day living, to assist in function recovery.
